spend more time supporting your students
let us take care of the complicated parts of mentorship
We work closely with you to identify your institutional goals and align your mentorship program strategy and design to achieve the desired outcomes for both your institution and your students. This includes selecting your student cohort(s), such as first-year students, transfer students, or upperclassmen, as well as mentor cohorts, such as peer mentors, young alumni, or industry partners.
As part of the Mentor Collective network, you have access to our-research backed tool, our team of mentorship experts, and the latest research and best practices around effective mentorship. We begin every one of our partnerships by engaging all administrative stakeholders, such as student affairs, advising, career, and alumni, to ensure collaboration and efficiency. We also deploy your school-branded platform and tools, including special “tracks” and discussion guides for specific cohorts or populations, such as first-generation, underrepresented minority, or international students.
We launch personalized mentor recruitment campaigns to your volunteer community, using research-backed best practices, including a combination of email, text, and phone outreach. Most importantly, we provide pre-match training to all prospective mentors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to help your students meet their goals. The Mentor Collective mentorships team is always available for support should mentors have questions or need assistance.
While developing your mentor capacity, we launch an integrated onboarding experience for students to maximize their engagement in the program. This includes the use of customized awareness campaigns and on-campus or virtual events to address one of the most common challenges mentorship programs face: making it relevant.
Since student motivation is one of the greatest challenge in any mentorship program, we utilize rich matching survey data to connect your students with the most relevant mentor for the needs they have expressed. Our matching algorithm connects students and mentors that have shared interests, backgrounds, and challenges since research shows that these factors lead to deeper and longer-lasting engagement. Critically, students are able to express preferences in the type of mentor, retaining agency over their match.
Transformation happens over time as mentor and student engage, and we are here to support the success of their relationship from match to program completion. Because of the comprehensive and ongoing support we provide, our partners only need to spend a few hours managing the program, compared to hundreds of hours at in-house programs.
We allow you to track relationships and assess institutional outcomes, including data on student and mentor satisfaction, student and mentor engagement, as well as whether any risks have been flagged by mentors. This allows you to clearly see the effect the program has on your students
Realize the impact of mentorship on your students and institution, resulting in outcomes that drive revenue and sustainability such as decreased melt, increased retention, career development, and student satisfaction.
